Safari & Kilimanjaro
11 days, 10 nights Ngorongoro and Kili Safari in beautiful Northern Tanzania
This tour focuses on some of Tanzania’s most geographically unique and dramatic landscapes. From the floor of the Ngoronogoro Crater to the peak of Kilimanjaro, you will see the full spectrum of Tanzanian beauty on this 11-day adventure.
The journey begins with a quick detour through Lake Manyara National Park, where you will go on an afternoon game drive around this massive alkaline lake that is often surrounded by pink flamingos and the occasional tree-climbing lion. From Manyara, you will continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – one of the world’s largest natural enclosures for wildlife.
Game drives here will give you the opportunity to observe lions, leopards, elephants and rhinoceros from unbelievably close distances. After a full day safari, you will then return to Arusha to prepare for the epic climax: a hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro! The final six days of your trip will lead you through the montane forests, across the Shira plateau and eventually to the highest point in Africa, Uhuru Peak via the Machame trail. Watch the sunrise from the roof of the continent, before beginning your return home. This physically challenging tour will surely capture your heart as you explore our country’s most extreme regions.
